Introducing Your 2013 Popcorn Days Queen Candidates

The North Loup Popcorn Days Committee is proud to introduce the three candidates for this year's Queen coronation. The crowning will take place Sat., Aug. 24 at 8 p.m.
Willow Wieskamp Willow Wieskamp, 16, is the daughter of Jeff and Karen Wieskamp of North Loup. This Fall she will be a junior at Ord High School, having previously attended North Loup-Scotia. She is active in volleyball, basketball, band and choir, FFA, 4-H, Youth Leadership Group, student council, One-Act and All-School Plays and attends the North Loup United Methodist Church. Willow's interests include listening to music, cooking, writing, traveling, camping and hiking, horseback riding and caring for her cattle.
Ceara Marie Thompson Ceara Marie Thompson, daughter of Tim and Shelly Pokorny. She is 16-years-old and will be a junior at Greeley-Wolbach/North Loup-Scotia High School. She enjoys playing volleyball and basketball and competing in track. Her other interests include spending time with family and friends, working on projects with the youth group at the Chalk Hills Community Church, fishing, hunting and camping. She is a member of the Youth Leadership Group and works for Zangger's Hybrid Popcorn.
Miranda Lynn Essman Miranda Lynn Essman is 17-years-old and a senior at NL-S High School. She is the daughter of Tom and Leslie Essman of North Loup. Miranda is active in dance, band, chorus, journalism, youth leadership and volleyball. She works as an assistant dance instructor with the Just For Kix program in North Loup.
