Connie Jean Mann, 59, of Aurora, NE, died Thurs., Feb. 14, 2013, peacefully at her home surrounded by family.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Mon., Feb. 18 at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Dennis Hunt officiating. Interment will be in the Aurora Catholic Cemetery. Connie's request was for everyone to wear pink to the services.

Connie was born on Aug. 5, 1953, at Ord, NE, the daughter of Raymond T. and Doris Mae (Nelson) Augustyn. She grew up on the family farm near Arcadia. In 1967, the family moved to Aurora and she graduated from Aurora High School in 1971. She worked at Farmer's State Bank for several years.
On June 16, 1973, she married Terry Mann. They had two daughters, Tammy and Christy. She ran an in-home daycare for 35 years, where she provided care for over 120 kids. She loved taking care of all the children until her health prevented her.
Connie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Altar Society. She loved spending time with her children and especially spoiling her grandkids. She also enjoyed camping, gardening, her flowers and hummingbirds.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Terry of Aurora; two daughters and a son-in-law, Tammy Mann of Tucson, AZ, and Christy and Brett Raasch of Lincoln; three grandchildren, Liam, Kale and Emery Raasch of Lincoln; a sister, Sandra Augustyn of Aurora; sister-in-law, Helen Mann of Birmingham, AL, sister-in-law, Karen (Ron) Perry, a brother-in-law, Tim Mann, all of Aurora; a sister-in-law, Marcy (Kevin) Senff of York and sister-in-law, Vernie Mann of Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents and a brother-in-law.
